  GOD doesn't need a morally acceptable reason for waiting thousands of years to end wickedness. When you are as big as Him you can do what the hell you want!

  GOD owns the whole world and universe and Utah. He is above reproach and what He does is automatically right. It's all in the Bible so how hard can it be to understand? Whinging about Him allowing wickedness is wickedness in itself.

  GOD is one of the friends in high places that you want to keep on the payroll and suck up to if you want to get out of this world alive. His Son is also worth cultivating. This Batman and Robin team could be all you have to protect you on the terrible day of vengeance that will end wickedness - until the next time.

  they claim they are 7 million and growing.

  is this true?

  i haven't been to a meeting in 12 years but i know of at least 100 people i grew up with that have left the congregation.

  How would a god or 'mighty one' end wickedness? If wickedness reoccurs then the god has failed to end wickedness.

  If the god acts again and the method involves extinguishing more lives on earth and in heaven, then the god's action would be part of the problem and not the solution.

  from time to time we hear people someone condemn someone or some entity for "playing god.

  if it's not morally upright for an individual or an entity to "play god" (we're not talking about identity, because god can't be anything but what s/he/it is), then why is it morally upright for god to "play god"?..

  the obvious answer is that it isn't..

  When God breaks his own laws

  if one assumes that god made the universe it follows that he made it according to a very complex set of physical laws that determine how things work.

  the quest to identify and understand those physical laws is at the very forefront of science and great strides have been made over the past few centuries, in particular during the last century.

  we have known for only a few centuries that the earth rotates on its axis and orbits around the sun along with a number of other planets, more recently that the solar system is located in a radial arm of a spiral galaxy swirling around some enormous black hole.

  i went to the gravatar site.

  i registered, got an email with a link to active my account, clicked on the link, got a further response that i was registered, went to my new account, yes they had me under my email,emptied my "cache", i chose a picture, gave it a g rating, and confirmed my photo and email together.

  GrandmaJones Some times we have to just settle for what we are. I don't want to be a gladiator and wear these ridiculous clothes but the gods have conspired to cast me in this role to appease Zeus.

  Green blobs are very fashionable at the moment and you will be applauded by the green movement. You must bravely accept your fate. It is what Caesar wishes.

  Angels are all male?

  genesis 6: 1, 2 - 1 when human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of god saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.. so angels are only attracted to female humans.. anyone else find this extremely telling?.

  A person is identified as male or female by their sexual organs. Their sexual preference has nothing to do with what sex they are. Such organs are part of the physical reproduction process. The sex urge is natures way of ensuring that we keep on keeping on and produce lots of little worshipers to keep The great spirit in the sky happy.

  Now I have never actually met a 'spirit person,' much less an angel, but for such creatures to be male or female they would have to have sexual organs. In which case they they would have to be physical and would not be spirit creatures. This amazing truth, that you will not find in your bible, has been brought to you by Gladiator!

  i got my own fair share of mental problems.

  it goes without saying that a bunch of us on this forum are misfits and freaks.

  The average rank and file Jehovah’s witnesses are sincere people, who have in many cases been attracted to the movement by a genuine desire to understand the Bible and serve God as best they can. They are often very kind people who have become unwittingly involved.

  Their distant and sometimes hostile attitude towards those outside the movement is a result of what the Society term “mental regulating,” in the form of books, magazines, lectures, question and answer discussions and private counselling - coupled with a fear of expulsion if they associate with anyone who their Society see as a threat to their cause.

  Most members would show a great deal more empathy if they were not actively encouraged to view all outsiders as sinners who are about to be killed by the God they love. After many years in the movement and being trained to view all outsiders with suspicion, believing that they are a threat to their salvation, it is inevitable that some Witnesses have lost a great deal of their feeling towards people who are not part of their organization.

  I want to get baptized...but how and why should it happen?

  ...and not saying that i have to get baptized as a jehovah's witness.

  i was an unbaptized publisher, but i had to step down because of some confessions i made to the elders about two years ago.

  (yes, sexual confessions, i told them that i wasnt a virgin).

  When I was just 13 I was baptised into the JW cult. By the time I was 15 I was a regular pioneer. This is not a misprint! How baptism happens is easy. You just need a swimming costume, a pool and a strong man to dunk you.

  Why should it happen? It would be more accurate to rephrase this question to: Why does it happen?

  Either way there is no logical reason why someone should need to commit themself to God. If God exists then we are already a part of him or her. As living creatures we are already committed and must assume that God is as committed to us we are him or her. If not we are up the river without a paddle.
